Presentation Report,
On the 4th of June, monday, Saleem made a presentation about Cigarettes. It was an excellent presentation and I really liked it because he gave some good points about the dangers of smoking and why it is addictive. I especially liked the animations, it gave the presentation a little splash of amusement.
These kinds of presentations are what catches my eyes because I love to raise awareness about dangerous things and advice others how to avoid them. He had some good insights on how to stop smoking, it takes baby steps and lots of patience. He also talked about why smoking was addictive and why it was very hard to stop. He also mentioned something that is very important which is that smoking starts with peer pressure. I believe in most cases that's true as I know many who'd fallen victim of these kinds of situations and it really is a pity. Most teenagers feel left out and cannot fit in with a certain clique when all of them smoke but they don't. Some teenagers would start off by curiosity and decide they would give it one try, the next thing they know, they start smoking 8 packs a day, and they wonder how they got addicted to it. When he started talking about the risks and causes of smoking, it was desolating. All the diseases that could be inflicted by cigarettes are shocking and heinous.
The whole presentation was really thought-provoking and definitely worth looking at. Saleem presented excellently and was very detailed about it. I most certainly was captivated.
